Frustration

I hear songs about heartbreak. I read poems of people seeing red from anger.

But how do I write a sentence or a story to encapsulate frustration? What is a good example of art that makes me feel like I am not the only one?

I’m talking about art that shows the feeling of a rubber band about to snap – a parent with a sick kid, no job, and too many medical bills.

I’m talking about a war cry of a song – a best friend watching her best friend be abused, and knowing there is nothing she can do.

I understand anger. How it can fester and mold into divine hate – anger is the most dangerous when it is cold.

I understand compassion, it shines orange and multifaceted.

I understand depression… the stillness.

How do I understand frustration
